Corn Comments 10.1 – SD Farmer’s Carbon Footprint Shrinking

Corn Comments Podcast with Jim Woster.

In this week’s Corn Comments, Jim Woster talks about a recently released 25-year study from South Dakota State University which showed that the state’s farmers are reducing their carbon footprint. The study reveals that modern farming practices are increasing yield potential and capturing carbon in the soil which results in a cleaner environment and better economy.

According to the South Dakota State University Dean of Ag and Bio, Dr. Barry Dunn, “This research shows that South Dakota farmers have some of the lowest energy footprints in the world.”
